The US Treasury formally sanctions the alleged Nemesis Market admin

In March of the present 2025, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctioned Iranian citizen Behrouz Parsarad, allegedly the administrator of Nemesis Market, including him in their Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN) List.
-
This sanction is based on information gathered on March 20, 2024; when law enforcement officers from the USA, Lithuania, and Germany raided the server structure of Nemesis Market, physically located between Lithuania and Germany. On these servers, they found evidence that, added to the intelligence gathered in previously conducted investigation operations, allegedly directly links Parsarad to the administration of Nemesis Market. Among the information gathered are 5 email accounts, 3 phone numbers, and approximately 50 digital currency addresses.

The United States authorities sanctioned him with the blocking of all his direct and indirect properties and interests in his possession in the USA, including those in which he is only a partial owner (with 50% or more participation). All types of transactions operated by third-party U.S. citizens and/or from within the United States involving the aforementioned properties in any way are also prohibited. This measure also extends to all financial institutions that fall within the aforementioned categories.
